General Counsel Steve Rohan explained that the State Attorney’s office
recently announced that with the retirement of the assistant state attorney
currently assigned to act as the Sheriff’s Office legal advisor, the State
Attorney will no longer be assigning a state attorney to perform that
service. This bill authorizes the
General Counsel to retain the services of the retiring assistant state attorney
on a contractual basis to continue performing the same duties. AMEND to add provision specifying an
